HOW TO MAKE COFFEE WITH STARESSO MIRAGE

PREPARE:

- STARESSO MIRAGE tools are complete with all components and properly fitted. This is a detail to pay attention to, because there are 10 parts, so it is easy to lose.

-The coffee has been ground to a fineness consistent with STARESSO MIRAGE, specifically, the equivalent of Mokapot, slightly coarser than espresso at a cafe. If grinding with EK43, set it to 3-3.5

-Filtered water boil

EXTRACT

Step 1:

Take the powdered coffee into the basket (the basket should be rinsed with boiling water, wiped clean and dry). Remember to use a spoon to scoop and shake the basket evenly so that the coffee fills the entire basket. When the amount of coffee flooded the surface of the basket, at about 18g-20g then stop.

Step 2:

Compress coffee with a dedicated tamper or by the machine's own piston.

Pay attention to evenly compress and make sure it not too tight, so that the coffee is flat and the surface is 5mm from the basket mouth

Step 3:

Insert the basket into the rest of the machine, tighten it

Pour boiling water into the boiling water tank at 120ml, then insert the opened piston then tighten it

Put the system on the stand and the coffee cup underneath, ready to extract now.

Use 2 hands, one hand to hold the system, one hand to press the piston evenly, straight and slow, feel the water pressure getting heavier until you hear the "spray" sound at the top of the machine, that's also when the coffee has absorbed the water and prepare to melt.

Continue pressing until the coffee flows out until the desired amount of coffee is reached.

After the coffee flows out, it is close to the standard of an espresso cup, with a relatively thick creama.

The amount of coffee that comes out should be between 45-60ml of the finished product to ensure richness and flavor.

IMPORTANT NOTES

-In our opinion, STARESSO MIRAGE is a convenient coffee maker and is used for not-so-frequent purposes, so users should consider it when using. If you use it at a rate of once a day, components can degrade faster, such as rubber gaskets. These are parts that need to be changed frequently if used regularly or at a certain interval. Even professional coffee machines require regular maintenance.

- Attention should be paid to avoid losing components due to many parts, especially when washing and cleaning
