Coffee with Phin is the traditional brew of Vietnamese people. This is a simple form, easy to make, and only needs boiling water to make it. The process of making filter coffee is usually 5-10 minutes long, giving a basic, slightly burnt coffee flavour, a strong coffee taste, suitable for people with traditional coffee taste, or who want to make coffee with condensed milk.
Prepare:
Ground coffee with suitable fineness, EK43 grinder size is 5-6
The Phin has been hot coated and wet the bottom of the Phin
Boiled water
Measuring cup with ml pisions or electronic balance in grams
Step 1:
Take about 20g of powdered coffee into the Phin, equivalent to 5 small teaspoons, the rig is flat
Pour about 40ml (equivalent to 40g) into the Phin for the coffee to bloom evenly, wait 2 minutes
Step 2:
When the coffee has bloomed, place the stainless steel piece of the Phin on the surface of the coffee then gently press it down. Be careful not to press hard
At the bottom of the Phin, it is recommended to wet it with a spoon to stimulate the coffee to flow down
Pour 60ml of boiling water into the cup and wait for the coffee to run down the cup for about 5 minutes, then it's done
Add sugar, condensed milk and ice according to taste to enjoy
